Minutes County Teams Committee 6 September 2006, Syston Social ClubPresent: Graham Booley, Cyril Johnson, Julie Johnson, Graham Hewitt, Ben Pourmozafari. ApologiesJim Bingham, Steve Wylie. VenuesOpen: 28/10 Thurmaston, 27/1/07 Gtr Manchester arrange neutral venue U175: Jamboree Cannock 20/1/06 U150: 13/1/07 Syston, 10/2/07 Gtr Manchester arrange neutral venue U125: Graham hopes to play home matches at Littlethorpe, needs to confirm with landlord will know by end September. Cyril to book Syston for 2/12 as precaution (see note1) U100: All home matches to be played at Syston Cyril to book all dates for Syston and Thurmaston. Graham B to speak to Sean regarding venue for the Manchester games. TeamsOpen: no problems U175: reported that Jamboree will be held in Cannock 20/1/07 U150: Need to check with Staffs that they will be providing hot drinks. U125: Graham requested more contact details for players, Cyril to action this. U100 A & B: no problems RefreshmentsAgreed we would continue to offer tea, coffee, squash and biscuits at home matches. FinancesCyril supplied a breakdown of last seasons figures and a forecast for the coming season. Last seasons figures included national stages from 04/05 season. Cyril proposed the following match fees:
50p reduction for ECF members. Graham B expressed his concern that this was a significant increase on last season. Julie reminded us of recent comments at AGM and Policy committee meetings regarding the funding of teams and seconded Cyril’s proposal. After further discussion the fees were passed (see note 2). One amendment was added; titled players would not be charged. Petrol fees to remain at 20p per mile. EquipmentGraham b. expressed his concern with regard to the state of kit especially the clocks. Cyril will keep 16 clocks (working and in good condition) in a separate case for matches. Meeting closed. Notes1. U125 team are to play home matches at The Plough, Littlethorpe. The landlord as kindly let us have the venue free of charge. 2. Since the meeting we have had feedback from players and captains that the match fees set were unacceptable to some and would result in us struggling to raise teams. After consulting with the other committee members and association president I took the decision to reduce the match fees. The fees will be:
